THE FALL WINTER 2021 COLLECTION

As a born and bred Texan, I remember square dancing on “Go Texan” day and picking out my favorite boots for the Houston Rodeo. This season, I wanted to mix those memories from my childhood with a much needed sense of optimism and fantasy into clothes that reflect the current times. For FW21, I began with the idea of a western shirt twisting it with piping inspired by the architecture of the Burujerdi House in Kashan, Iran. The contrast between my Persian heritage and western upbringing continued into all aspects of tailoring and is evident in every detail. This season’s print, a collage of a multi-color iris which signifies hope, takes cues from a rug woven in the 1800s in Tabriz, Iran. Optimism is expressed through bright shades of tangerine, lilac, pistachio, and kelly green. Anatolli Smith styled the collection on the witty and beautiful Magné Ndiaye. The extraordinary make-up is by Bob Scott. This season we collaborated with Texas based, Hondo Boots.
